This just came in from the Pac-12:

PAC-12 WILL HONOR THE COMMITMENT, SERVICE AND SACRIFICE OF VETERANS AT

CONFERENCE FOOTBALL GAMES NOVEMBER 12

Schools will Help Celebrate 70th Anniversary of the Tuskegee Airmen

The Pac-12 Conference will honor the bold commitment, courageous service and extreme sacrifice of military servicemen and women and their families at Conference football games during Veteran’s Day Weekend, November 12.

Pac-12 schools will pay tribute to Veterans in a variety of ways, including video features, swearing-in ceremonies, participation and recognition of students and alumni currently serving, pregame and halftime American flag ceremonies, balloon releases and stadium flyovers during the weekend.

In addition, the Conference will help celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first unit of African American military pilots who flew in World War II. The Conference will honor the heroism of the group with in-stadium video tributes, public service announcements and on-field appearances by several original Airmen. Coaching staffs and band members at several games will wear Tuskegee Airmen patches and logo pins on their game day uniforms.

An all-black combat unit created at the Tuskegee Institute in 1941, the Tuskegee Airmen pilots faced unimaginable challenges: fierce discrimination and training on outdated equipment, among other things. Despite these obstacles, the Tuskegee Airmen persevered and earned an impressive combat record in World War II.

The Pac-12 schedule that weekend is Arizona at Colorado, Arizona State at Washington State, Oregon at Stanford, Oregon State at California, UCLA at Utah and Washington at USC.

I am a big time sports fan. I love my LA Lakers (don't hate) and my CAL Golden Bears (duh). I pretty much watch any sport, so when the Olympics are on don't bother me. I love finding great food. The website I work for and also use ALL THE TIME for food is www.TryCaviar.com. I'm always looking to find great food and something unique. I watch way too many shows and movies and still looking for more, so if you got any great shows or movies to recommend, please tell me!
